Two portraits of her father, Louis Montigny, probably in the parental home of Jenny Montigny in sint-Pietersnieuwstraat in Ghent. The drawings suggest that these were made in the library of the house, before Louis died in 1914.

Severin Mair was jenny’s uncle and her mother’s brother. He lived with his family as neighbours of the family home of Jenny Montigny in the Sint-Pietersnieuwstraat in Ghent. His daughter-in-law, Gabrielle Van Meerbeke, may have been the first female artist to influence Jenny Montigny.
